Rafael Corteletti is Ph.D. in Archaeology at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology of the University of São Paulo, MAE-USP (2008-2013), which included an internship in the University of Exeter, UK, where he improved his knowledge in Archaeobotany, GIS and Landscape Archaeology (2012 ). He has an MA in History from the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos; UNISINOS (2006-2007) and graduated in History in the Federal University of Santa Maria, UFSM (1994-1997). He is the author of “Patrimônio Arqueológico de Caxias do Sul” (Archaeological Heritage of Caxias do Sul), which concerns the impact of urban sprawl on pre-Hispanic archaeological heritage. He is currently a Faculty member in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology of the Federal University of Pelotas.
